following is the last update of the CISU case history file project.

The number of UFO reports increased substantially in Italy during
July 2004: 114 sightings known as at Aug 05th.
The 2004 grand total rose to 347 reports.
The sharp increase recorded in July bring us to speak about
an "UFO wave" during that month: the sighting frequency was
indeed unusually high from a statistical viewpoint. However,
excluding pictures of unobserved UFOs and some other crop
formation the sighting frequency would have been high only
around mid-July. Those cases account for 16% of July sightings.

Among most interesting events, a bright sphere lasted in Gorizia
about 20 minutes, before suddenly disappearing.
In Marina di Modica (Sicily), a yellow sphere, initially
motionless, sped up leaving a grey dust cloud.
Finally, at the end of the month in Puglia (southern Italy)
a flying saucer was steady and flashing for 15 minutes.
Eight more crop formations have been found during July: the
2004 total rose to 39, compared to 46 in 2003. Most of them
appeared in the Northern Italy.
