following is the last update of the CISU case history file project.

The number of UFO reports in Italy rose in Feb 2006: 35 reports
are known as at Mar 10th, 2006, in line with the first available
February update of the previous years.
About one third of the reports look caused by meteors and other
celestial bodies (especially Venus), without causing any flap.

The seasonally adjusted (s.a.) data of February highlights a
noticeable increase of reports (42) compared to January; the
seasonal effect estimate for February is -7 (i.e. there is a
tendency in February to record less reports than usual, so that
the actual number of reports (35) is lower than the seasonally
adjusted figure).
Looking at the number of events (which should be lower than or
equal to the number of reports, as several reports could refer to
the same UFO event, as in the case of fireballs), the s.a. data
is 42, which compares to 27 in Jan 06 and 51 in Feb 05.

The 2005 grand total rose to 877 reports. The January
total increased from 27 to 33.
