following is the last update of the CISU case history file project.

The number of UFO reports in Italy rose in Apr 2006: 25 reports
are known as at May 11th, 2006, vs 21 occurred in March.
Some of them look caused by meteors or are related to objects
recorded in photos/videos but not seen by the witness.
Near Turin, a bright object has been observed doing strange
movements such as zig-zag, sudden stops, U-turns, falling down.
The sighting lasted a few minutes.
Again near Turin, many pictures have been taken at an object
similar to a "small man without arms".

The seasonally adjusted (s.a.) data of April shows a bigger
increase of reports (45) compared to March; the seasonal effect
estimate for the month is -20 (i.e. there is a tendency to record
less reports than usual, so that the actual number of reports (25)
is lower than the seasonally adjusted figure).
As for the number of events (which should be lower than or equal
to the number of reports, as several reports could refer to the
same UFO event, as in the case of fireballs), the s.a. data is
40, which compares to 31 in Mar 06 and 36 in Apr 05.
May should see a further increase of reports as the negative
seasonal effect fades.

The 2006 grand total rose to 129 reports. The March 2006
total increased from 16 to 21.
