I think you need to go to the Family History Centre at Worcester. Ask the staff for help but the hand-lists look like a good start, checking references for Naunton, Ripple and SPENCER. Also estate maps, or enclosure awards, if they exist, might be useful.
Unless you have evidence to suggest that they were indeed were well off, the term farmer could apply from a 'cottager' who was an agg lab to an employer with a massive estate. Check for land sales/transactions. Very often they had to be approved by the manorial courts.
Sometimes records in the Parish Chest specified where some one lived down to a hamlet, as opposed to the parish. Make sure there are not other SPENCERs around, or siblings, or other relatives, that also moved to the area.
