"Research Evening for All" with Indexes and Resources supplied by the Society and its members
Come
along and search a wide variety of resources many of which will be
computerised - with printers available to record the results. Other
information will be in written (book) form and fiche. Fiche readers
will be available for use.
The following Resources will be available for consultation –
Census material from 1841 to 1901 for Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, with some earlier local Bromsgrove material.
1881 Census for the whole country.
Street and Trade directories from 1879 to 1934 for Birmingham and
Worcestershire (Pigots, Wrightsons, Post Office, Kelly's)
The National Burial Index
Marriage indexes 1776 - 1837 for Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Greater Birmingham
Worcestershire Burials 1600 - 1900
Worcestershire and Staffordshire Monumental Inscriptions
Parish Registers for Halesowen, Old Swinford and St Martins Birmingham
Strays Index for Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire.
There will also be people available who have local knowledge to help track down that elusive ancestor!
