Like you, Sue, I sometimes tend not to post because if there's no response it
does feel like talking to one's self. That's certainly not a critcism, though
maybe to keep the board a bit livelier, if any of us see a post to which no one
has responded, we could each try and take a turn at giving a response, even if
it's to say, "I don't know, but perhaps someone else on the board does." (Of
course, many members already do this, and very conscientiously.) There have been
times I've had the impulse to respond to a post, but then thought, "No, someone
else will do it," but no one did, and then I realized I could have tried to
respond.
I am still collecting, and finally as of Christmas have all three bears plus
Goldilocks (I won the first, a Baby Bear, from you, Sue, on Ebay!) and have
gotten some others that eluded me, like the Elephant and the 63 Cow. Collecting
is still a heck of a lot of fun, especially if you get a bargain!
The energy created by David's efforts is fantastic, and I can't wait to see the
puppets in person. Perhaps someday I will even find one in FAO Schwarz in NYC
-- I still see puppets there all the time, from inexpensive to very high end.
There's also a shop in the East Village called Dinosaur Hill that carries very
unique puppets from around the world, many in small quantities. David, wherever
you sell them I wish you all the best luck.
Happy New Year to all and see you on the board!
Tom

Glad to hear the puppets are a big success David, guess you will be
pretty busy in the new year.
Hope we can get a few more messages here as well, maybe as moderator I
should be posting a bit more, but I often feel like I am talking to
myself.
Is there anybody out there still collecting, and if you have stopped
collecting, please let us know why. I think many of you have
quietened down, there has to be a reason, please let us know. I
haven't visited a toy fair for so long, but if I did go, would I see
anybody there at all these days?
I know I have refined my collecting, but I miss the good old days -
does anyone else?
