It certainly is a lovely puppet and one I thought I'd never see.
Many years ago I was told there was a rags version and I wrote to ask David
Leech in his magazine "Yours Puppetually Autumn 1996 if such a version
existed.He printed a reply saying he had never come across one only the ball
gown version. So all these years later one appears.I wonder who will be the
successful bidder?

Okay, I had never come across this one before. So....??? Now we have! (People often refer to Gretel as Cindrella in rags.)...

I have to say the similarity with Gretel dress-code and the brown material does make make the link pretty strongly....
