It certainly is a lovely puppet and one I thought I'd never see.
Many years ago I was told there was a rags version and I wrote to ask David
Leech in his magazine "Yours Puppetually Autumn 1996 if such a version
existed.He printed a reply saying he had never come across one only the ball
gown version. So all these years later one appears.I wonder who will be the
successful bidder?

Okay, I had never come across this one before. So....??? Now we have! (People
often refer to Gretel as Cindrella in rags.)

I have to say the similarity with Gretel dress-code and the brown material does
make make the link pretty strongly.

I have a copy of this issue and saw your question alizoid. I got given these by
David in a batch of five and don't know if they are original or not. Were they
done on A4 paper? Lovely magazines though, haven't read yet but will do soon -
it's everything that went on when I was younger which I missed so interesting
for me to read.
What's the item number for that listing or link?
