Hi I've just discovered this group on peterboroughinpictures.
I identified with the message about going through the fence from
Newark Avenue, we lived on Garton End Rd and had a gate into the
school field, and we could walk through to the showground.

When I was very young we had a run away bullock come through the
garden from the show. Later after the show had moved to Alwalton we
used to play in the old grandstand, and I learnt to ride a motorbike
there as well.

I have created www.dogsthorpe.com because I am interested in the
history of the area where I have lived my whole life. Several people
have got in touch with me and given me information and articles for
the site. Does anyone have memories of Dogsthorpe?
