Hi again Maureen. I went to Walton Junior around 1938 then on to the senior school, which I left to go to Kings School in 1945. Mr Avery was the Walton head then. I would just love to walk around the old school again for old time sake, but of course it's gone now, I do however remember quite sentimentally the assembly hall, classrooms, playgrounds etc.etc. Regards Gordon

Hi Gordon
My family left the farm in about 1938, they ended up in Paston Lane where my Mother still lives. Did you go to Walton School if do what year did you leave

Hi Maureen. I remember the farm very well.It was a wonderful walk from Mountsteven Avenue into Sages Lane, across the railway lines to the fields and the farm. I am sure I helped at thrashing time where they had a steam traction engine driving the thresher.I was a young lad at the time and also remember riding on back of the young bullocks in their pen when no one was about ! There was for a time a "tented" army group with gun etc close to the farm to protect the railway I presume.Further on past the farm I believe I remember the sheath's of corn all stood up in the fields to dry.
Also at the end of Sages Lane just before the crossing there was a cottage with very nice grape vine growing out side.  By the way, we lived in Mountsteven Ave from around 1936 until the 60's.Regards G Boughton.

Hi
I would still like to hear from anyone who remembers my Mothers family, but I don't expect anyone will still remember them living at Headings farm. The farm in the field over the railway from Sages Lane. I t is nice to hear from other people who lived in Walton. I can still remember being able to walk across the fields and wreck from Paston Lane to Mountsteven Avenue. At that time Croyland road at Churchfield Road end was just a dirt track.

Hello Maureen
I live in Orton now, but I lived in Werrington from 1956 to 1958, then
in Walton until 1964, when we noved to Kettering for my Dad's work. I
went to school at Werrington and Walton Junior schools, so I know the
area well, had a friend in Sages Lane, also Lincoln Road. I was also
born in Paston Lane, my grandmother' s house, but then we went to live
in Maxey.
Brenda
