Hi again Maureen. I went to Walton Junior around 1938 then on to the senior school, which I left to go to Kings School in 1945. Mr Avery was the Walton head then. I would just love to walk around the old school again for old time sake, but of course it's gone now, I do however remember quite sentimentally the assembly hall, classrooms,playgrounds etc.etc. Regards Gordon

There was for a time a "tented" army group with gun etc close to the farm to protect the railway I presume.Further on past the farm I believe I remember the sheath's of corn all stood up in the fields to dry.
