That is directly opposite my parents. Mr
Bone lived there until his 90’s, and then Mrs Snow his daughter lived
there until recently. I think Mr Bone lived in the semi originally and built
the bungalow in his garden.
There is a book about Garton End
(Dogsthorpe Library used to have a copy, I think Central library still do,
Kings school have a copy but not easy to borrow as I no longer have a child
there) which has a picture of Mr Bone and a horse next to Garton End pond,
which was on the bend where my parents house is now. The houses were built in
the 1930’s by Mr Setchfield who lived opposite the Comet when I was
growing up.
