Bicycle derallieur gearchange cable is the right size. Buy
a "universal rear" one as that should be long enough. You need to
file down one end to fit the carb slide, cut ir to length and put a
small nipple on the other end to suit your lever. You should be able
to salvage the lever end nipple from the old cable.

make one up from parts available at any bicycle shop and some
solder. If you can't get a nipple of the correct size for the carb
end just file down to suit.
