praetorian-IG : Message: New to list (long)

Hi Guys,
WOW!!! I can't believe there is a group for the great es GW minis ever made.

My name is Wes and I started to collect Praetorian once they hit the clearance box, in game stores. I was looking at creating an IG ork army based on the 40k v2 rules. I was around 3k Ork army at this time, around 1998. Once GW came out with 40k V3 I lost interest in the Orks. The changes to the Ork army list took the fun away from them. So I started to rethink my 40k armies. I ended up with a steel legion army, but soon got board with it. I decided to dump my Orks, and my SL IG armies on eBay. After selling both armies i started to look at the Praetorian Guard stuff I collected. A short time later I found a deal on eBay, and got the bulk of my new guard on the table. This gave me an HQ, and 2 platoons with 3 squads each, and a converted rough rider squad of 10. I have yet to play this army as I started a family and gaming to a back set to the real world. This past summer while I was putting more stuff on eBay I found another great deal on some Praetorian guard minis. This new lot put me to the list below.

My Praetorian Guard army has some custom mini in it. First is my army HQ. I lost the leader of my army in a store, and could not see spending the money for a new one (did not really like him any way) so I dug out my Col Shaffer dudes and painted them up as my HQ. Next I had col I Gaunt and wanted to use him so off with his head, and on with a new one. Then I needed a rough rider squad so I found a guy that did cheap special orders from GW and got a squad a rough riders cheap. Cut the Praetorian dudes in half glue them on the RR legs and BAM one cool looking squad.
