Well IMO a Command Figure (Officer with cap), a Flamer trooper, another MG 42 trooper and a Panzerschreck trooper would do the job!
cheers Agis Neugebauer
Thanks Agis,
Chuck suggeted a panzerfaust and I suggested a panzerschreck on the scarab forum.
I like your other ideas as well
On the subject of the forum if any one has any painted Projekt X minis they want to put onto the gallery or in the Projekt X section any battle reports or action pics, please feel free to do so
At the other partizan I was interviewed by Neil from the Meeples and Marples. You can find the interview here, and as he is interested in the Great War and the WW2/Projekt X material, you should find it interesting, I did give him a bit of a "scoop" on some of our future plans.
Several people mentioned some Power Armoured X Soldat variants and as these models have a wide appeal beyond the Projekt X background, I am planning on some variants.
Any requests for either weapons or poses?
We have not forgotten the American and British versions, but these all need a little more background development first
Today I met up with Dan Pacey, sculpter of most of the PX range as I am sure you know. We only had a brief chat today but we will be speaking again in the coming weeks.
I know a couple of you asked if he would be doing any more work on the range and we will be having that conversation to see what can be done.
Thanks, Rob. Nice to see 1/48th expanding. You may become the prime source for
all things 1/48th scale!
Two new 1/48th kits to consider (if you can get a good deal on them):
From AFV Club:
48006 German Sturmtiger 38m RW61
48007 Sdkfz 251/C Half Track
I'm thinking the Sturmtiger is ripe for conversion.

The first Projekt X commissions are underway, we should get a progress report at Partizan (a UK show) at the weekend when we will also be recieving some more Great War French greens.
Any one at the show who wants to stop by and discuss Projekt X, WW2 or Great War can find us on our Great War game somewhere near the Kallistra trade stand.
We will have some stock with us (Kallistra and Gripping Beast will have our Great War stock), but if you are coming along and theres something you really need for 1/48 WW2 or Projekt X, please get in touch with a preorder, especially if its a plastic kit.
Most of the plastic kits are now uploaded into the Scarab web store, there are some great items in there, especially for those of you who want the V1 or German KV variants in your PX games.

Finally thanks for all the feed back so far, its been very helpful. On the forum theres a poll for a first year special miniature which if you have time to log in and vote would be terrific and theres also some extra discussion regarding ranges and new models
This is such a huge undertaking! There are so many figs out there for 28mm. Now
having to do them again in 1/48th.
If folks want more zombies, the currently available figs are Russian and
American. There may be some need for German zombies. (I think of it as German
mind control experiments on POWs.)
As I mentioned elsewhere, a Russian Command pack for all the troops currently
available.
PX-wise, I'm looking for "plausible" WWII weirdness for the Russians. Human-ape
hybrids. Dog bombs. Tesla coils. Would they have their own version of power
armor suits? Or would they use vehicles (armor too expensive; men are
expendable)?
Someone mentioned British Commandos in wool stocking caps.
Jet packs?
Psychics for the Russians?
Goliath remote control bombs for the Germans?
I'd like a German MG team with the MG on a tripod.
Japanese are another matter. I would table them until later.

Just took delivery of the 1/48 scale Tamiya stock. Not got everything they do yet, but its a good start. We already have Hobby Boss online
We won't be updating the web store for a few days, so on the off chance theres something you want, drop us an email at info@... and we can sort it out.
We also picked up some Alanger Russian WW2 ground crew and equipment, these look pretty good and the accessories are really useful. If you have seen the German Tank field maintenance set from Tamiya then its a comparison there but plenty of oil drums and jerry cans.
Both sets will be featuring in dioramas in the future. For the Projekt X guys and gals, the Maintenance set will be great for rearming and repairing the Power Armoured soldats!
I have now set up a Projekt X forum within the Scarab Miniatures Forum. However recongising not everryone can access the internet easily, heres what the message has to say,

Wonderful news, Projekt X always had the best background of all the weird war
two games and I'm glad to see it in safe hands. I look forward enormously to the
new ideas and models.
The idea of weird war one is also very, very intriguing...

The Gestapo one is terrific, and so obvious it was obviously hiding in plain sight, because I don't think I have that on the list, but it will be later tonight! Tamiya do some great kits that would suit such a character.
Daryl
as an update having checked this morning, Gestapo were already on the list but because I think its such a good idea, it will be one of the first new figures commissioned. If "Daryl" in German (or something similiar) is anything vaguely sinister, he may well get named in your honour!
This is really exciting news! I only hope you follow through on some of the excellent ideas you mention. Projekt X is one of the best ranges in any period and for years (!) I've hoped it would continue expanding in figures, background and rules. The figures are better than any of the ranges that have followed it, whether they be Monolith's Gotterdammerung, Westwind's Secrets or Darkson's AE-WWII, which is not to say these other ranges are bad by any means, they just haven't been as good. :)
I realise you have your own ideas where the range might go (I love the Japanese idea!), but I personally would like to see some more heroic allied types: Blue Force characters and maybe even, dare I say it, an Indiana Jones type; for the bad fellas some more X Soldats would be fun-I love the character of the 10 or 11 we have so far-and a gestapo character. This scale screams for a good gestapo agent, hopefully in the expected trench coat and glasses...
There is probably nothing more annoying than hearing about every random guy's ideas for your new range, I just couldn't help myself. Congratulations on your taking the helm, and please keep us posted! I will definetly be supporting you!
Best wishes,
Daryl
PS I hope you will continue to distribute the line through Brigade Games for us Yanks. He is one of the best companies on this side of the Atlantic!

Some great ideas and you will pleased to know some of them were already on the list. Check the link to the Scarab PX site. Yes allies are needed. i thought so too.

And I am happy to hear ideas and suggestions either here or via the Scarab forum where there will be a Projekt X section once I have got it set up.
Yes we will be following through with this, although it will take a bit of time to really get to grips with what we have, and what we might do with it before we release much new stuff although I do plan to commission a couple of figures soon so you all can see we are serious about it.
I know Lon at Brigade, he will still be able to get stock via North Star if he wishes or you can order direct from us if he doesn't.

Apologies for abortive email with no message, it should have said- As an update you can view pictures of practically every model in both ranges in the web store. We also have a forum where I have placed a couple of action shots in the "a dark place" category.
The Forum will have its own dedicated Projekt X and World War 2 sections once I have them set up in the coming day.
There, and here on this yahoo group will be the place best to discuss and find out whats happening with Projekt X
Distribution of these ranges to retail stores will continue to be handled by North Star Military Figures.
The miniature line for both ranges will be supported by new releases and a full background for Projekt X will be developed. This background, along with rules for table top gaming and other supporting material using the miniatures will be contained in a series of sourcebooks and PDFs covering both Projekt X and historical World War Two actions.
Scarab Miniatures Limited stock 1/48th scale plastic kits and will be adding terrain, buildings and accessories during the coming months. All of which enable you to bring your table top or diorama to life for a complete wargaming or model making hobby experience.
Our Great War ranges will not be neglected. We have new releases for the French already in development.

I'll give you the honest answer, I haven't spoken to Richard for a while in terms of new 1/48th historical so although we have discussed plans before, I do need to have an updated converstion with him.
I must also apologise to group members for the lack of any news here. North Star has become very busy over this year and has taken all of my time to just run the business so some things have fallen away such as Projekt X. I took down the PX site earlier this year with a view to incorporating it into the North Star site, but actually we are re-vamping both sites now. I have taken over Crusader Miniatures, and the new Crusader site is in the format of the new North Star/ Projekt X site. You'll be able to see that later this week.
There are 3 new Storm of Steel robots ready for release, plus a selection of different arms for the Soviet robot, and we'll have them for sale soon.
Any new releases coming in 1/48th WWII? Will we ever see a Russian Command Group? How about a German MG crew with the MG set up on its tripod for firing?
I'd like to run a purely historical (no PX) game using the 1/48th figs I have (Germans, Americans and Russians), but I'm missing some "typical" poses.
Thanks
