Hi everyone

Just wanted to request some help with advertising &
postering this w.end.

2 events coming up:
Thurs 11th April, film, Occupation 101
Fri 12th April, speaker from Bethlehem.

I have made a poster for the film
We are still awaiting confirmation of venue for
speaker, so poster not yet ready.

As well as putting up posters, it would be great if
someone could make some phone contact with churches in
Lancaster, to inform them of speaker coming from
Bethlehem & to ask: 1) do they have an email list they
would be happy to advertise speaker on, 2) will they
put a poster up (& do they want that sending by post
or email, I will speak with St Thomas & Baptist church
as already been speaking to them))
We will hopefully have venue confirmed this fri &
whether meeting will be on fri 11th in evening or sat
12th in afternoon. The initial phone contact can be to
generate a bit of interest, & let people know its
happening although details still to confirm.

As the speaker is a medical worker, we also wanted to
advertise it to St Johns ambulance, A & E staff &
paramedics. Is anyone able to get contact details for
these groups, so that when all the info is ready we
can send it off quick.

I would really appreciate help with some of this
stuff! Email if you can help or text 07813 800540
At the end of this email I will put the info we have
about the speaker

Thank you!!!!

Ata is from the village of Wadi Fuqueen, which is
about eight miles south-west of Bethlehem. He works
for the International Red Cross and also works closely
with the Salaam-Shalom Trust. Ata's brother is a tour
guide working in Bethlehem, and has close links with
the Christian community in Bethlehem.

Ata's village (Wadi Fuqueen) is Muslim, although the
village has had Jewish friends in a nearby town for
many years. The village kindergarten was built by
the Christian charity, World Vision. Ata is part of a
village committee called The Future Vision Society
that was set up to try to raise money for the running
costs of the kindergarten/teachers salaries/other
village projects.

The village of Wadi Fuqeen lies in a rich farming
valley but is overlooked by a rapidly expanding
illegal Israeli settlement

Wadi Fuqeen is a peaceful village of 1200 people and
is situated almost directly on the 'Green Line' in the
occupied West Bank. The villagers' future security and
livelihood is very strongly compromised by the route
of the separation wall. They will effectively be
imprisoned and Wadi Fuqeen will be isolated from
neighbouring villages, Bethlehem and the rest of the
West Bank, causing severe hardship and deprivation.
