I just had a long look for help with the Creative Modem Blaster USB
and finally ran into a link to a Microsoft document that may help me

The non-techies should look away now to avoid seeing big words!

I am writing this for the techies as I am sure someone else may
stumble into the same problem.

According to Microsoft - if you have:

Windows 98 SE
An AMD processor (350MHz or faster) &
A VIA Technologies USB controller

Your USB will not work and you need to download a patch to fix it.
