The next meeting of the council's Raynes Park and Lower Morden Area
Forum will be held on Tuesday 8th July in the Bond Hall of the
Methodist church in Worple Road (junction with Tolverne Road),
starting at 7.30 p.m.
The agenda is likely to include : feedback/update on ward surveys ;
environmental services performance figures ; crime statistics.
Possible additional items : future development of services at the
Nelson Hospital, and of local G.P. services ; Beverley and Pyl brooks
flood alleviation update. (It is hoped that both of these subjects
will be included in future meetings, even if they can't be on this
occasion.)
For the "soapbox" section of the meeting, any resident wishing to
make a short presentation on a specific issue (maximum five minutes,
not including subsequent questions arising) should notify the Chief
Executive's representative, M. J. Udall, preferably in writing (at
London Borough of Merton, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden,

michael.udall@...), and if possible by noon on Thursday 3rd
July.
Ward councillors will then be consulted about the items received and
asked to indicate what they deem to be the most important items for
consideration at the meeting. However, selection of the number and
range of issues to be heard on the night will be at the discretion of
the chairperson of the meeting, who may decide to take further items
from the floor if appropriate or to limit discussion depending on the
time available).
