CRIME ALERT
Monday 3rd November
There has been a report that refuse collectors (bin men) have been
going door-to-door collecting for their 'Christmas present'. This
happened in Seeley Road, Mitcham. Official refuse collectors are not
allowed to collect door-to-door for a Christmas bonus. This has
occurred in previous years and the callers are not genuine bin men.
Please do not open your doors to anyone you do not know. This
'collector' was wearing a reflective jacket. He was about mid 30's,
white, with dark wavy hair and a local accent. [See also http://www.

On 30th October at 12.30pm in Malling Gardens, Morden an
attempted burglary occurred. The white male was using a blue
card/credit card to gain entry in the premises. He was later seen in
Crowlands Walk, Morden. He is described as white, baldhead, mid
30's, slim build, wearing short blue jacket, blue jeans and white
trainers.
Crime prevention advice - Always double lock your door with Yale
or similar lock and 5-lever mortice lock. This prevents this method of
entry.
On 30th October an attempted burglary artifice occurred (bogus
