iv just read every1 elses messages of their memories n theyre all
ded long so i figured id beta write a bit more.
my memories all start in a small house in a town near newcastle,with
me and my big brother sat in the living room, our grandparents were
visiting and we both got a knitted soft toy, about a foot and a half
tall, craig got sooty and i got my fave, sweep. from that moment on,
i became a mad sweep fan, the toy went with me everywhere,from
london to edinburgh. other memories include going to the sooty
museum somewhere near crosshills in yorkshire, near where my grandma
n grandad live, we used to visit the museum every time we went
downwith me admiring sweep, and my brother - sooty. thats where we
got our puppets from, and we performed many hundreds of puppet shows
from behind the sofa.a few xmas's later i got a scampi puppet too as
he was my 3rd fave, after sweep and sooty. then one weekend we went
down to visit my grandma n grandad to hear the worst possible news,
the museum had been closed down. i still have the newspaper cutting
that my grandma gave me which explained the situation, i was
devestated, i loved that museum so much.today, i still have my sweep
knitted toy and puppet, they both sleep by my bed and puppet sweep
comes with me everywhere.as you can probably see im not a great
collector of the stuff,but i do cherish the ones i have, 2 puppets,a
knitted toy, a video and a postcard from the museum.
