Well, I've seen Sooty live four times now, and I think my all-time
favourite has to be the Sooty's Rocket Ship stageshow, in which
Richard and Liana first walked around the audience looking for Sooty,
and after he arrived it was Sweeps turn to be called, and he made his
entrance by swinging across the stage on a long string of sausages!
Brill stuff. This one also featured the classic 'putting Sooty to
bed' routine which I love. The book 'The Secret Life of Sooty' tells
how Harry Corbett did an after dinner speech for agroup of
businessmen, ending with that routine, after which the businessmen
crept silently out of the room so they wouldn't wake Sooty up!
