From Ant in charge of Nickelodeon UK and also Nick Jr
"Sooty is an interesting idea and one which we'll definitely look
into. But there's nothing concrete yet - but whatever happens, we
agree that Sooty is a great show, and it's something we'll certainly
consider for the future. Thanks for getting in touch - and of course
if you have any other comments or suggestions, please do give us a
shout!"
Sadly thats all we know so far and am trying to find out more
information so in a way the perfect christmas gift is to know repeats
of whatever series of Sooty will finally be shown on Nick Jr's Noggin
Cult Kids TV Slot.
He's the e-mail i sent them if you wanted to know.
Subject: A e-mail to Nick Jr
Hello Nick Jr,
I don't know which e-mail adress is to the Head of
Shows man at Nick Jr so pass this on to him.
I asking if its possible for Sooty to be shown on Nick
Jr. I read in the paper that theres a deal where i
understand that ITV and either Nickelodeon or Disney
will broadcast each other's branded shows.
This will give one of the satellite broadcasters
massive exposure on terrestrial television and for ITV
a digital audience for its CiTV programmes.
With Sooty being a CITV show i wanted to know if its
possible to have this show somewhere in your line-up.
With your viewing hours up to 10pm its ideal for young
fans and the young at heart to watch in the 8pm to
10pm slot. Sooty or past Sooty Shows like Sooty
Heights, Sooty's Amazing Adventures, Sooty & Co and
The Sooty Show would be great because it's in the
Guiness World Records for being the longest running
Children's Show and will be perfect in your line-up.
I also run a Yahoo Group and if you want people to
show their support that putting Sooty on Nick Jr will
be a great idea then please say so. And with Nick
buying Sleepover Club, Worst Witch, Mr Bean, Girls in
Love please add this cult classic in your list of
shows on the Nick Jr late-night (8pm to 10pm) line-up.
Please let me know
BRIAN
And to everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
