from Hit's Annual Report for 2004
24-hour digital pre-school channel to be launched in the US in
September 2005 in partnership with Comcast Corporation, PBS and
Sesame Workshop.
HIT has a 30% equity stake in the venture, with an investment
commitment of $32 million over five years.
Channel forecast to achieve profitability three years from launch.
Channel will show Barney, Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder and other
HIT titles (Sooty is still owned by the company) as well as PBS and
Sesame Workshop programmes.
So whats everyones view on this. If this will happen you can bet they
may show Sooty in the early hours or at a time that not alot of
people may watch but there's a chance that Sooty maybe shown in some
form or at some time this year in America. And its highly likely it
will be the recent series shown in Year 49 to Year 52.
