BREAKING SOOTY NEWS: Zippy and George's Puppet Legends on Tomorrow   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #469 of 643 |
Change to Tomorrow and meant to have aired on the 7th July but was
put off because of the London Terror Attacks. This Top Ten List will
air tomorrow night on Channel 4 at 10.55pm.

Here are the details.
22:55 Zippy and George's Puppet Legends
[subtitles]
Channel 4's Favouritism strand continues as puppet legends Zippy and
George of Rainbow fame recount their favourite puppet legends. In
this hour-long puppet extravaganza, Zippy and George interview some
of the puppet greats such as Orville, Sooty and Sweep, and Nobby the
Sheep.

I've known about whats in this special for some time and friends who
preview this special back in July told me the following details. If
you don't want to know don't read the following information

OF all the subjects in Channel 4's Favouritism series, this is likely
to spark the most arguments. George and Zippy of Rainbow fame award
themselves third place in their countdown of VIPs (Very Important
Puppets), while Sooty just scrapes in at six and Lambchop doesn't
even make the list. It's an outrage!

Also sadly missing is the priceless moment from The Farm when
hardcore rapper Flavor Flav was introduced to Orville the Duck -
although we do see Gordon the Gopher's live sex shame and lots of
Thatcher's Spitting Image puppet.

And if you're wondering where you've seen George and Zippy's mansion
before, it was the house used for C4's What The Butler Saw.

BRIAN
