Dear Nader,
I am so angry,shocked, stunned &devastated at what's happening. I have
stopped watching the news or reading the newspaper several years ago since i
am very prone to depression from what's happening in the world.
Since I heard about the criminal unjustified war on Lebanon, i have had
sleepless nights and have gone into a silent phase where most of the time
when i hang out with friends, i simply do not talk or laugh as much as i
used to. I, too, type this email, with a tear in my eye so much wanting to
drop. All this while i am an Egyptian living in peace in Egypt. So I cannot
imagine how you must be feeling when you are in the heart of that war. I am
reallly proud of your courage and your outreach to help your fellow citizens
in your beloved country.
I don't know if this would be of any help to you, but this is all I can
think of at the moment. Can I use your exact words from your email in an
article in one of the Youth magazines in Egypt. I am responsible for the
Alerts section in this magazine. Also can you send me your photo?
Balsam, can you do the same too? Can you guys let any of your lebanese
friends who want to have their voices heard send me anything at all whether
it is info, personal thoughts, experience, ...etc??
I will have the whole Alert page dedicated to Lebanon.
i will also tell people how to help if they want to, by putting all the
details of the bank accounts in the magazine.
Hope this provides any help at all.
My prayers for you and all victims of war everywhere.
Nadia
