Dear Pukul and Suheir,
Dear Reach out team,

First of all, Thank you a lot about your great efforts in arranging, preparing , supervising "Reach Out" project and giving it a wonderful success. I couldn't hide my sad feelings for not to join my colleagues and continue what we have started in Tunis, but my absence will not hinder me from becoming a positive and effective factor in my country to promote goals and values of "Reach Out" . Finally, let us pray that peace and safety
prevail in Palestine.

Best regards to all

Alaa

Dear Alaa and Suheir,

Based on Suheir’s note, I unfortunately have to agree.  Alaa, you will miss a significant amount of the workshop and therefore I have to say, it’s not worth the risk, emotional and mental stress you will go through.  I am so sorry that the situation in your country is preventing you from joining us here.  I really was looking forward to seeing you here, especially as your face is on a lot of the promotional material! I’m attaching an example.  And don’t forget you can always join in through the blog www.reachout-project.org

My thoughts are with you and I hope this set back will not prevent your passion for positive change, and I know your reach out colleagues will be thinking of you.

Kind regards and best wishes,

Pukul

Dear Alaa and Pukul

I am very sorry to hear this and more sorry that we cannot do anything about it. Once the Rafah boarder is closed there is no way anyone can cross and no one can intervene not even diplomatic missions. Besides it is Friday and there is no one to talk to because all Israei departments close at 14:00 on Fridays and all of saturday and the  BC and Consulate are closed until Monday so there is nothing that we can do before Monday which I think is too late.. Travelling on the 16/17th means loosing a big chunck of the workshop. Not worth the effort and haressment that you are going to face Alaa.

I am sorry to sound very unhelpful but I can't think of anything I can do here other than curse these bloody Israelis.

Hi Alaa,

I really don¢t know what to say.  Its unbelievable for me that these things happen.  I am copying Suheir to see what she recommends.

I¢m really sorry Alaa, that¢s the best I can do at this late stage.  Stay positive and hopefully we can find a solution.

Best wishes,

Dear Pukul,

I am very sorry to tell you that I may not be able to attend the workshop at 15/1/2007 because now "Rafah Gateway- Eygpt" is colsed and may be opened at 16-17/1/2007 , so i can't catch my plane at 14/1/2007 . Sorry again to tell you that and you realize my enthusiasm to join you in UK and continue what we have started in Tunis  .

So, Tell me is there a chance to attend at 17-18/1/2007 or what ? what should I do?

waiting for you response..

Best regards
