It's the end of a very long day
ropeing steers and now he heads home in his weary way
Hes's been a cowboy all of his life
But he wishs and dreams he could go home to a loving wife

His horse is walking along one foot in front of another
The cowboy is thinking of happy time's with his mother
He had been a little cowboy then rideing her broom as his horse
And his favorite meal was as it is now baked bean's of course



He is tired but happy with his life
One day soon the cowboy dreams of having a wife
Maybe after that they will have a little cowboy all of their own
The cowboy is dreaming of a happy day when he won't ride home alone
