the house is quiet at night
nothing can be heard to give a fright
sleeping I began to dream
then I awoke upon hearing a scream

who was screaming who could it be?
then I realised it was me
my hubby had woken up too
he got such a scare he almost turned the air blue

watching as he went to sleep again
my eyes close and I was hopeing I would not have a nightmare dream
again
the house is so quiet there is no sound at all
except for the quiet ticking of a clock upon our wall
