What did you have at the Thai Barn as a matter of interest?

I would definately rate it as the best group meal out to date, but that may change before too long as there is now a proposal to go out for a Xmas meal at Jyoti`s Vegetarian Restaurant on the Stratford Road, Sparkhill - more on this soon.

This is the last reminder about the fairtrade meal at Archers Restaurant within Redditch College, from 7pm on Thursday 2 November. The event has been organised by the Redditch Trade Justice Network. Archers are offering a 2 course vegan meal, plus a drink for £10. The vegan option is as follows:

Main Course - Organic Basmati Rice Pilaff with Fairtrade Fruits and seasonal potatoes and vegetables

Dessert - Fruit Salad

Clearly, this is not a very exciting menu!! But don`t forget that by dining at the college and offering encouragement, advice etc, we have the opportunity to educate the chefs of tomorrow about the need to provide interesting, delicious veggie/vegan options. As the college are one of a very limited number of locations offering vegan meals within Redditch, it is worthwhile supporting them.

If you wish to join the meal, please reply without delay, as Monday is the day i need to send off a cheque and notify the college how many veggie/vegan options will be required.
