Hi All,
Food for Thought is just one of 145 veggie restaurants and 28 take-aways in
London listed in the brand-new edition of Vegetarian London (£9.95,
available from www.vegansociety.com.shop), which also includes 238
restaurants with big veggie menus.
The 38 all-you-can-eat buffets listed offer particularly good value, some
costing only £5.
It also lists 300 wholefood and green shops and has details of
accommodation, groups, caterers and organizations.

Just wanted to recommend a restaurant I ate at yesterday which, in my
opinion, was really good. The restaurant was Food for Thought Vegetarian
Restaurant at 31 Neal St in Covent Garden, London. The premises are rustic
and small, and you have to queue up the stairs and onto the street for a
table at peak times. We were squashed into a corner near the doors to the
loo which were totally non-smelly (even the mens) so it wasn't a problem at
all. The food was heavenly. I had Rajastani bake which consisted of a mild
vegetable and chick pea curry and was totally yummy. This was accompanied
by a mixed salad which was also delicious, and olive bread with vegan
spread (to die for). All in all it cost £8. We didn't buy drinks as there
are jugs of water on the table for you to partake of. Sorry if I'm already
preaching to the converted, but for those who find themselves in London
without recommendations I would defintely suggest giving this place a try.
