For our next meeting on Wed 4th Feb, we`ll welcome Tony Peters from Greyhound Action. Tony will talk to us about the dwindling support for greyhound racing over recent years, which must be largely due to the huge growth in greyhound campaigning! Greyhound Action now has 27 local branches across the UK, all of them raising awareness and campaigning for boycotts of greyhound racing. Please come to listen to Tony, he`s a great speaker and you`ll have the chance to financially support Greyhound Action`s campaigns by purchasing some of their T-shirts, mugs, cards etc. There`ll also be a Red Kite Health Foods stall so you can stock up on lots of veggie/vegan goodies! Doors open at 7.15pm for refreshments before the talk starts. As ever, the venue is St Georges Community Hall, St Georges Road, Redditch. www.greyhoundaction.co.uk
For our following meeting on Wed 4th March, Amanda Baker, the Vegan Society PR and media officer will tell us about their current major campaign. `Vegan Catering for All` aims to encourage all restaurants, cafes etc to include at least one vegan option on their menu. Amanda will tell us how we can all get involved in the campaign! www.vegansociety.com
