Firstly my apologies for missing the last meeting (work commitments).

 

I have received a letter from the Vegetarian Society and the good news is that Redditch Veggies and Vegans has been accepted (subject to final ratification at the next Vegetarian Society council meeting) as an Affiliated Group on their Local Group Network. Though we have not made it into the Summer copy of their magazine (I will bring my copy along to the next meeting) we are however now on their web site www.vegsoc.org (under local groups).

 

There are other benefits we can get as well which are as follows:

 

1) A list of Vegetarian Society members in the local area on request.

2) A free copy of Network News every time it is published.

3) Supplies of campaigning and educational literature.

4) Free insertion of diary entries in the magazine.

5) We can now use the Seedling Symbol on our Stationary (providing we abide by their guidelines which  I have a copy of), so I guess that makes us Vegetarian Society Approved.

6) We can borrow videos from their library.

7) There are also Grants, Bursaries, Subsidy's and Insurance Cover that we can apply for.

 

 

I am not sure what contact Kevin has had from the Society but I will bring all my paperwork to the next meeting (I will be there, I promise). Of course Kevin if you want to see the information before then, get in contact with me I am sure we can arrange something.
