You/your group members are invited to a combined meeting of Redditch based environmental, ethical & social justice groups. Any group or individual with an interest in creating a more sustainable town and planet is welcome to attend.

When:- Tuesday 18th July, 7.30pm

Where:- The Ecumenical Centre, Kingfisher Centre (access opposite the Early Learning Centre)

On Saturday 3rd June 2006, various Redditch green groups came together under the banner of the Redditch Green Alliance, to stage the Redditch Green Fair at St Stephens Church. Although the town had previously seen green events at the Countryside Centre, it was the first event of its kind in the town centre, and the first event to raise awareness of such varied green issues. The fair was a great success, and is now intended to become an annual event, and we hope to build on what was achieved in its first year.

Aside from future Green Fairs, it is hoped that all Redditch environmental/ethical/social justice groups will be able to work together and support each other in other ways. Hence the main reason for the first Redditch Green Alliance meeting.

Groups already involved in the Green Alliance include Redditch Friends of the Earth, Redditch Trade Justice Network, Redditch Freecycle, Redditch Vegetarians & Vegans, Redditch Green Party and Redi4Peace. But we will welcome on board any groups or individuals that have similar ideals and vision for a greener future.

This meeting provides an opportunity for anyone concerned about the future of the planet(and all who inhabit it) to find out what each of these groups is involved in, and how you can support them in various ways.

Please bring with you any ideas/suggestions about how all groups can work together and support each other. If you have any particular talent that may be useful eg web design etc, you will be especially welcome!
