THE BIBLE AND HEARING THE ETERNAL
For many years I have regarded the Bible as absolutely correct
in every way, and that it is the Direct Word of God.
Of course the Bible is the Direct Word of the Eternal.
Recently I have had reason to see that it was with good reason
that the following verses are written.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the
prophecy
of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the
plagues
that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city,
and from the
things which are written in this book.
What I had assumed was that no one would dare to slant or leave out or
add to the scripture, in any way in view of these severe warnings.
I had made a groundless assumption that the synagogue of Satan
would obey, and put everything that they ought to do in the Holy Scriptures.
If the Mother of Harlots has blatantly disobeyed on a myriad other points,
on what grounds did I believe that she has somehow obeyed the above warning?
Today it is quite common to see those in positions of authority twisting
and perverting the Word of God,
so this should be no surprise to us whatsoever.
It is a fact that the Bible is the Word of the Eternal.
However, that has never stopped people twisting it to
suit their personal or group agendas
We are told that
TheTruth is a person, Christ,
The Way is a person, Christ,
The Life is a person, Christ.
John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Any other means of arriving at the Truth is an error.
It is therefore only under the direct guidance of Christ,
who is the Holy Spirit, the counsellor, the Almighty God,
the Everlasting Father, that we can be assured that what we call ‘truth’,
is in fact Truth.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Some might find this hard to swallow but that is how it is.
However, in the past few months it is now clear to us that books
which are referred to in the Bible, are not actually in the bible.
I have previously addressed this, and I mentioned that the book of Jasher,
and the book of Jubilees are two such cases.
There are others.
We now have copies of these books which seem to be valid.
The current canon was dictated by the Roman Catholic Church.
They not only messed around with the commandments, and the weekly
and annual festivals, as we have shown previously on this site, but they
have also carried out their desires with the very bible we have.
Rhema has told us to read the book of Enoch which previously
we avoided like the plague.
It then became clear why some books were kept out of the bible.
I am not saying that all books for example, in the Apocrypha,
should be in the bible, but Rhema has also stated that some more books
should have been included.
I am certainly not declaring what should, and should not be in the bible.
I have not been told to do any such thing and in any case I do not know.
What has greatly disturbed me recently,
is that the King James bible was authorised by a homosexual,
and a pervert. It makes me very sad to see that across the entire globe,
the Holy Name of the Eternal is linked to a pervert,
and very few indeed are aware of this fact.
It is reasonable to expect that some verses could easily have
a slant on them that was not intended in the first place.
As outrageous as this might sound, are they not trying to do this very
thing even today? Why can’t we face up to the fact that the Enemy
leaves no stone unturned in his unrighteous battle with the righteous.
This understanding might help our readers to understand why we tell
everyone to seek their own guidance on everything which we publish
on our site. We do not ask anyone to blindly believe what we say,
and neither does the Eternal do this.
We need to grasp that the fact that the only way that the Elect
will not be deceived is if we are seeking, and obeying the
guidance of the Eternal, which we refer to as Rhema.
The above warning, in Revelation, is clearly there to tell us
to be exceedingly careful.
We have assumed that it has never happened.
The reality is that it is only too common.
Some groups have their own perverted bible, e.g. the Jehovah Witnesses.
Additionally we may shun such translations, but there are things
that can have a wrong slant on them for example in the King James,
because of hidden agendas.
In the past I have written about the matter of wives submitting to their
husbands,
and the role of women in church.
In reality many women endure lives as Christian floor mats.
This is an abomination.
Of course men use scripture to support this stance.
I also pointed out that in the early church, there were
female rabbis who were regarded more highly than their husbands.
The point I am making is be very careful, and make sure that
you seek guidance of the Eternal on what you read.
There can be a very good reason for actual contradictions,
and the answer is not explaining them away in some greatly technical
manner, it is rather that the text has been adjusted in order
to justify some position.
To think that the text has not sometimes been tampered with
is without foundation.
Mercifully there is a sufficient body of truth to lead anyone to salvation,
when the Eternal opens the eyes and unstops the ears.
I am not suggesting that we throw out the bible or any such thing,
neither am I saying this to generate confusion, but rather
I am encouraging us to realise that the enemy has left no stone
unturned to mislead us, and we should be careful.
If we go directly to Christ we can deal with this situation.
Scholarship, prejudice, emotion and feelings are not enough.
Unfortunately that is how we tend to judge many things.
My experience is that when we are told by the Eternal not to do something,
we are actually already doing it, and it is not some theoretical and unlikely
possibility,
but rather the opposite is the case.
Let us therefore be seeking direct guidance and let us be
obedient to it in its entirety, and in detail.
I am also taking this opportunity to address a related issue.
It is the teaching which is constantly thrown in our faces
that if we were prophets of the Eternal, everything that we have
said would come to pass. As sometimes it does not or there is a delay,
or something is revoked, then we are called false prophets.
This also shows ignorance of a high degree.
We have never claimed to be prophets or to know everything.
First of all many, many times we are told things, and we promptly
pray that the often quite horrific things which we have been told
do not come to pass for the sake of those affected.
This is what we should do.
There is nothing new in this you will find examples
of this happening in the bible.
It is a fact that repentance can nullify prophecy or greatly delay it.
The second point is that we are commanded to hear the Eternal.
Many think that this applies simply to reading the bible.
This is not the case at all.
To Hear means to Listen.
This is not a matter of intellect, education, logic, deduction, reasoning,
emotion,
or prejudice as some actively promote.
For these individuals and groups, unless you were intellectual,
salvation is quite an impossibility.
Because we understand something that another believer does not
understand, that does not make us any better than him.
We are our brothers’ keeper.
There are countless examples in the Old and New Testament,
when people are told to listen. Some individuals and even nations did.
Wicked Ahab, and Nineveh for a start.
In the letters to the churches in Revelation,
each church is told to listen to the Spirit, which as I have stated is Christ.
That is exactly what we have to do today.
It is summarised in the following verse
Revelation 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
It is only those who have never attempted to actually listen to the Eternal,
or the Roman Catholic Church, who claim infallibility.
The third point is that what you are told can be so outside what
is considered normal, you can immediately be branded a nut case.
The fourth point is why would God use an insignificant nobody like you,
and not someone with a good reputation, status or position?
The fifth point is that if you had actually attempted to listen
you would see how sometimes you would be uncertain.
You could easily find yourself like Gideon for example, wanting proof.
But what would you do if you were told something and told to act on it
and you were also told that on that particular matter you were not
going to be given any proof?
The sixth point is that sometime you are told to do something
simply to see if you would be obedient.
It might be outrageous, and go against everything which you believe,
and feel. What would you do then?
Do you think that this does not happen today,
just like it happened to Abraham, or do you think that Abraham
sacrificing Isaac was a one off?
The reality is that today and even more increasingly,
if we are genuine believers, we are going to be called “to walk on water”.
We are going to have to tell the sea or the river to open a way
for us to pass. We are going to have to act on what we are told.
We are going to have to move from our comfortable complacency
into the fire of the front line.
We are called to show heartfelt concern for those billions who are
on the verge of destruction, while we argue about this and that.
We are so wrapped up in ourselves, and our extended selves,
that to be blunt, we could not care less about the billions who
are suffering hunger and disease, while many are being wrongfully
imprisoned and murdered.
1 Corinthians 13:11 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and
all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give
my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Read the whole chapter and meditate on it.
You may be able to recite it and have an intellectual understanding,
but this has to be your experience in reality.
This is an entirely different matter.
Many of us act like the bible brandishing president of the USA,
who recently said, "I'm a war president.
I make decisions here in the Oval Office in foreign policy matters with war
on my mind," he said.
However, that is not how we should conduct ourselves.
Isaiah 32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
We are our brothers’ keeper, regardless of what we think we know.
We often would prefer to do anything but what we have been commanded.
We pooh, pooh it as namby pamby, and not as important as keeping some law
or ritual, or understanding the intricacies of some difficult scripture.
The truth is that what is required cannot be ignored or circumvented,
and it is in reality impossible to achieve without the indwelling Christ.
What has been required of us has never changed from the beginning.
It is to love the Eternal with our whole heart and our neighbour as ourselves.
Much Grace
p.j.
The only way out of this dilemma
is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,
where we listen and obey precisely what we are told.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come soon Lord Jesus.
Amen.
