Question/Comments

Ciao Peter,What is the Bible saying about transplant of organs?

Thank you

Filippo

Answer

Greetings Filippo,

This is a very contentious issue.

Of course the bible does not explicitly mention transplants, except for the fact
that a rib of Adam was taken from him in order to provide his mate Eve. However,
there are some principles that we can glean from scriptur

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he
slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman,

and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:

she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

I am not a surgeon, but I can understand that transplants are by their very
nature very complex.

We have also previously written that this is an area of Fallen Angel activity.

It has been acknowledged that in several countries they are involved in this
activity.

Anything that involves Fallen Angels by definition has to be wrong.

It is certainly apparent that the body is designed to reject body parts of other
people.

Therefore people who undergo transplant surgery, for example a heart transplant
operation,

have a problem with rejection, therefore they have to take drugs to counter this
for the rest

of their lives.

The point is that in spite of what evolutionists and some scientists would have
us believe,

we are not animals, and we are not designed to ‘cut and mix’ in order to
survive.

Luke 12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

John 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

As science is discovering we are unique beings in great detail.

It takes a very great, even worldwide effort to find compatible people for
transplant

operations.

In my experience, I felt that my friend who has had a heart transplant,

was not the same person after the operation as before.

I am fully aware that blood transfusions save lives, but my feeling is the same
regarding this.

I know that some groups like the Jehovah Witnesses, who do not qualify as being
‘Christians’,

oppose this, but on this specific issue I can understand why, and I agree.

In the Bible several times we are warned not to eat blood.

There is more to blood than just being a liquid with certain physical
properties.

Leviticus 17:14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the
life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the
blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof:
whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

The reason for not eating blood is that the life of all flesh is in the blood.

If we have transfusions then we are mixing two lives together according to

scripture.

This must result in confusion.

We have no idea whatsoever of whose life is being mixed with our life.

It is possible that we are not only taking on the physical problems but also the

spiritual ones. Disease contaminated blood will transfer the disease to the one

receiving the transfusion. Similarly, it is possible, that spiritual problems
which

we did not previously have could also surface.

In many ways this is similar to the relationships document which we wrote.

In some transplant operations parts of pigs have been used in heart operations.

This is utterly wrong. We are not animals.

Genesis 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle
after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.

We can clearly see that the barrier of kind was placed on all creatures.

1 Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of
flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

This barrier was not designed to be breached, but we have been prodded by

our adversary to do just that.

Man was made after the God kind not the animal kind.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created
he him; male and female created he them.

We can see that transplants therefore defile man by reducing him to the

level of animals, and pollute him, who was designed to be the temple of God.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,

and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

We can see that the insertion of pig valves into the temple of God, would not be

approved by the Eternal, as the pig was one of the animals we were told not to
eat,

and not to even touch it.

Deuteronomy 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not
the cud,

it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead
carcase.

The teaching that this is only Old Testament teaching is not true as we have
written

before.

The real problem is that we feel that we have to keep people alive regardless.

We do not want to accept that whether a person is young or old there comes a
time

when we have to die.

Our goal should really be to teach people the reality of how temporary and
fleeting

life is. We should be taught that God exists, and how we should use whatever

time we have profitably, so that we are neither ignorant, nor in fear of meeting

our maker.

We should not be playing God.

Having given what I understand from scripture, I have to make it clear that I am

in no way condemning anyone who has had any type of transplant operation, using

material or blood from another person. I am also fully aware that governments

will take the decision from an individual who thinks like I do.

I have experienced this myself.

I do not believe that when Christ establishes His kingdom on the earth,

that transplant operations will take place. This does not mean that

every single person will be healthy, because their will still be the

penalty for sin.

We also have to realize that we are at the end of the age, and we are suffering

from the accumulated problems of six thousand years.

We are therefore very sympathetic to people who seek relief by transplants.

Meanwhile we encourage everyone to seek the Eternal.

Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the
LORD.

Much Grace
