I heard, you want to start an Usher-group in Australia - do you have Usher 1
(deaf) or Usher 2 ? I met a lot of people with Usher-Syndrome in the German Pro
Retina Group with Usher 2 - regularly they start earlier to contact with the
group than other persons at the same age an a large part of the members of the
youth group has Usher.
The people with Usher 1 usually are more involved in the work of the deaf
organisations - especially because of the better communication.
What experiences have you made ? Is it comparable to the situation in Germany ?
