Subject: [retinayouth] summer nights with RP friends

Dear friends,
I am glad to forward following offer from our Polish friends to our group.
We can have a common vacation like we did it last time in Skopelos, Greece
with a lot of fun.
Date would be Mid of July (14-07-04 - 24-07-04). We know that this is really
close to the RI congress in the Netherlands but we hope that this is no
problem.
Deadline for registration is really early (February). Mike is expecting a
price increase after Poland will join the European Community in May. So it
seems to be important to get everything booked earlier.
Thanks to Mike for his work and planing. Unfortunately I cannot send the
pictures of hotel and landscape to our yahoogroup.
Hope you like this offer.
In case of any questions please feel free to ask Mike or me.
Best regards,
Markus

"Summer Night" offer
Place:
Our summer holidays would be in a really small village called Sól (Salt in
polish). It is on the west-south part of Poland, near a Slovakian border in
Beskidy Mountains. There are beautifull views, many interesting mountain
trips to make, river Sola and cities like Wisla (place of living Adam
Malysz- polish great ski jumper), Zywiec, Bielsko and few more. The region
is rather very peacefull and natural. It's not a hudge touristic place. I
think that this is the best feature.

Place of accomodation:
I spoke with my friend, whose mother have a small privat hostel there, There
is 34 beds in 3 double rooms, 4 rooms x 3 beds, 4x4 beds. Rooms are on 3
levels. There is a bathroom with shower or bath on every level.

Other rooms in house:
There is a pool table (price included), kitchen, big room for meals and
partys, area of burnfire and grill outside the house, ping pong table (new)
and many green places to sunbathing. I have some pictures but they were took
in late autumn so the weather isn't good.

Price and term:
Term - (wednesday)14.07.2004 - 24.07.2004(saturday)
Price: I spoke with Markus and we settled that price would be
30E/day and 35E/day for double bed room
In this price you have:
- meals 3 times a day (very very tasty, many polish dishes)
- accomodation
- atractions*
- care and company of young friends from my studies (everyone speaks
english, also some of them knows german and french)

Attractions included:
Everything depends of how many people will come. If there'll be 15 persons I
can arrange:
- Trip to Zywiec castle and brewary (transport, cost of visiting)
- Trip to Czantoria mountine (transport, lift to the top, summer bobsley
track)
- Journey by vehicle with horses to the picnic to the forest hall(burnfire,
food, drinks)
- Supper in original restaurant of this region (traditional meals, band,
dances, transport)
- Every evening contests, plays and good music

Special atractions:
If you want I can arrange:
- visiting Krakow (old and legendary polish capitol, transport, museums) -
approx. 50E/per person
- visiting Aushwitz (most known nazist camp during II world war, entrance,
man guide, transport) - approx. 30E/per person
- trip to Thermal Pools in Slovakia (Beshenova, all day in hot water which
is very healthy, transport, entrence) - approx. 60E/per person
- traditional boat canooning on Dunajec river (transport, journey) approx.
80E/ per person

This trips are for all day and they are not included in price of
accomodation. But the price of this is rather cheap but the price depends on
the number of people.

Other:
I need to know your position to make some arrangments. So this is my
invitation to you. Please give me respond if you are interested. I think
that Poland may offer you very many beautiful places. I'm organising it by
myself, Michelle and few friends. Pawel of course would help me but this is
not conected with Polish Society of Retinitis Pigmentosa. Although only
people from REY are invited. Age of persons - 16 - 35. My special
invitation goes also to people who I know and who are more than 35: Stratis
Hatziharalabous, Ywonne van der Wiel and Hans, Ann Marie Houston and others.

Deadline of registration will be in February. I'll send you registration
forms and my bank account number. "Summer nights" can be possible only if
more than 10 persons would come. You must get to Katowice by bus (eurolines
have 50% cheaper for handicapped) or by plane to Pyzowice in Katowice. I
take you from stations and we go together. If you have some questions don't
hesitate to contact me.

Best Regards
Michal Mike Debiec
Delegate of Polish RP Society
