Wow, Pete - two weeks in southeast Asia and it looks like you've already been usurped in your role as Rev social coordinator.
Sounds like good times, Keen. I'm in like sin.

Dear Rev,
Carping the Diem, I am calling everyone out for a wine tasting event at London Bridge this Friday as the next London Rev club social. Tickets at £15 and there are 150 Chilean wines to choose from. Location is in the Glazier's Hall near London Bridge.
I trust all the usual suspects will be coming and so have booked 10 tickets ahead of time on a first come first served basis. This is also a great opportunity for new players to get to know us better so please do make the effort (do I REALLY need to twist your arm for this? Really?)
RSVP right away, please, so you aren't disappointed when the ticket inevitably sell
out!

Directions and schedule in the link below. We have the benefit of a late start so there is NO EXCUSE FOR BEING LATE. We will look to start our warmups at 1130am at pitchside at field #6.
It is a knockout format in our division so we have a great opportunity to do very well indeed!
Cheers and beers,
Adam K

Remember to check TFL website if coming by public transport.
Seems like Sunday is going to be OK - but evidently there's a storm comin'. If
anything changes we will send notices to all the usual email-groups and try to
contact teams directly if we have a contact mobile number. Otherwise assume
everything is going ahead as per the schedule.
Small note about the women division: check the note on the schedule about
extending the length of your games - we've built in an extra game-slot so that
your three games can be longer if you like.
Dear all, I hope you have sorted yourselves out with UKU membership etc per the information on the link I sent you. I will publish schedules once I get that information (probably Sat morning if I know how these work)
I will be taking the train on Sunday morning from Waterloo to arrive at Putney Bridge at about 8am if anyone wants to coordinate.
Those of you without kit, our colours are black shirts and red shirts. I strongly recommend wearing football studs / cleats or similar boots, or else you will be sliding all over the place.
The first Winter League is always an adventure as we never really know who we will be facing, so come
prepared to do battle!
Everyone, please bring
Cheers and beers, Adam Keen
For those not on Facebook, the team looks like this, only 11 so there is room for more people (hinting heavily at the cc'd people)! We will work out costs on the day depending on how many we have so bring cash.
Martyn, Adam K, Peter M, Charlie, Alex M, Neo, Dim, Dominic, Rob Carney, Nicholas Madelin, Daniel Feess
Dear Rev, The first proper training session was very well attended and blessed with beautiful weather. Thank you everyone who paid attention and made sure you were ready to go at 1130am. For the latecomers, please make the effort to arrive on time. Because of the new structures and tactics we are working on, it is frustrating for the players who have drilled the new plays but be unable to practice them in the scrimmage because everyone is not on the same page. Things to note:
1. Rev practices are now "official" and so will each be organised as Facebook events. Please RSVP well in advance so we know we will have the numbers for a proper practice. If the numbers are not there, the practice will be called off, simple as that. 2. Fitness is everyone's individual responsibility. As a minimum, I suggest 2 cardio sessions a week of at least 40 mins, and daily core work of about 5 minutes (planks and bridges, if you don't know, then ask me at next practice). When Peter Meldrum gets back from Hong Kong, we will be able to organise team track sessions, again. 3. Christmas Booze Up! If you are keen to offer up you lovely home for a team social (yes Rob, I am talking to you!) then please let me know a convenient Friday night in December!
As you will have heard a number of times by now, there is no practice on Sat the 14th because we are all playing Winter League on the 15th. RSVP now if you have not already. See you all there!
Cheers and beers, London Revolution
Dear all, Sorry to be a spud but I misread the dates and our Winter League is on the 15th, not the 8th. This means that practice is on as usual on the 7th of November, at 11am. See you all there!
Cheers and beers, Adam K
