We've just been informed of the teams that will be in our pool for Tour 2, B Div, they are:
Red
Trigger Happy
London Revolution
GB Juniors
Suffice to say, we're pretty happy with this draw, not to do any discredit to the teams we've drawn but we see this as being pretty evenly balanced as a group. And subject to hard work on the part of the team, very much within our reach.
As I said at Tour 1, I want to collect money from interested players in advance this time round and thereby ensure we have some security on their attendance. However for now please could I get a show of hands for those people who will verbally commit to playing so that we can get a feel for the balance of the team.
Looking forward to a strong show of commitment so we can plot out our route to Div A.
There are only two more Saturday training sessions before Tour 2. Let's make
them intense!
We only have 6 people confirmed on facebook for Tour 2, so on the face of it
we'll all be getting a lot of pitch time. If you can make it please confirm
your attendance here: <http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=62288369503>. If
you don't have facebook please reply to the group from this email.
I have a car going up with one spare spot, and am thinking of booking a
TravelLodge or similar. Anyone keen for the last spot in the car, and/or to try
and get a good deal on a place to stay with a) a roof and b) a guaranteed hot
shower?

Have been to see my GP a couple of times since I tweaked my knee at Tour 1. Still don't have full range of motion or function, so am hoping to get some physio. If you have any suggestions about the best way to go about it in the UK, I'd bee keen to hear it. Just e-mail me directly to avoid spamming the list.
Despite my lack of a fully functioning knee, will still try to come out on Saturday morning for some easy throwing and/or cheerleading.
As for Tour 2, would love to go even if I still won't be able to play because of the knee. Will be out of town the week leading up to Tour 2, but could fly into Birmingham on the Saturday night of the tournament. Anybody able to pick me up from the Birmingham airport late on Saturday night? (~11pm-ish) More importantly, anybody have space in their car to give me a lift back to London on Sunday night? (Mark, the last spot in your car has been taken, right?)
Also, if anyone's interested in camping at Tour 2, I have a tent - it just needs a spot in someone's car. Technically for 3 people, but 2 is much more comfortable.
Cheers,
Lars

Attention all humans. We are your photos. Free us.
Lars, that is great news that you might make it to Tour 2. We look forward to you hobbling around the pitch like a champion! I hope someone will step up with some help to get you in from the airport!
To everyone else, I am sorry I won't be at practice this or next weekend. I am on a family holiday for a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I hope everyone who isn't thousands of miles away will do their best to make it out to practice at the new location, on the cricket fields near the sports hub in the park.
Also, we cannot go into T2 with a skeleton crew, as much fun as it was to play ironman at T3 last time! Can we PLEASE have more RSVPs!
I know I will be away but I will still be training to be fit for the Tour, and I am saying
that not to big myself up but to point out it is merely giving the proper respect to my team to show up strong for a tournament.
More RSVPs!
Cheers and beers,
Adam K

Just so everyone knows what's going on can anyone planning on driving up to Birmingham announce it here and state how many spaces you have.
Otherwise the train is an option, its only around £20 at the moment but will go up quickly so lets respond fast please.
Accommodation wise, I'll likely stay in a nearby Travelodge, this costs £35/70 depending on 1 or 2 nights for a twin room (i.e. half this per person). So if anyone else wants in let me know and I'll book it. (Although need to know travel plans first really!?!)
Can everyone communicate their plans so we are not all in the dark...
Thanks
Aidan

If anyone driving to tour 2 has space, i'd like a lift! Otherwise I'll train it up.
Aidan - I'd like in on the Travelodge, a bed and a warm shower beats camping any day!
Cheers,
Kev

I'm driving Keen, Pasta, and James up on Friday night and we're staying in the £35 per head Travelodge (the one 4 miles NW of the venue).
It probably the same place as you're looking at Aidan so, you might as well go for it. I've not bothered booking breakfast or anything as we'll probably have to be up and out too soon for it.
Cheers,
Mark.

I have sent a message a while ago shotgunning a spot in Mark's and Keen's car and a place in the Travelodge. I never got much of an answer.
Mark, if you are dealing with this, make yourself heard.
Right, now that time’s pressed on and I’ve not moved into a new
place, looks like next weekend is going to be moving time L so
chances are, healed or not that I wont make it there! Also means that I wont be
driving so sorry Kevin et al I know that would have been ideal.
I will let you know if I manage to work times around so that it’s
possible to come but in lack of anything assume I wont be able to go *sniffle*

Mark, would it be possible to book a larger car at all to be able to accomodate more people? Sorry that I cannot be more helpful with the organisation of the tour from my hotel room!

We could probably fit one more in the car I've got, but 7-seaters are a lot more expensive.

As there are fewer of us going to Tour 2, those of you that elected to pay per event for the season will take a small hit on this one, unfortunately.
The cost for students will be £11, for non-students £22.
Please have cash ready for Saturday, or reply to me individually before 7pm Thursday at
<bandwidthnz-revolutionulti@yahoo.co.nz> to get my account details for a bank transfer.
Make sure you get a long night of sleep on Friday night. You'll need the energy.
If you are going to Birmingham on Saturday morning, make sure you get to the
fields by 9.30 . The first warm up of the day is the most important and we can't
afford having people showing up late.

Anyone able to pick me up from the Birmingham airport on Saturday night around 11pm? Otherwise I suppose I can try to find my way there on my own...
Tour 2 B & C divisions - 11 & 12 July - The Pavilion, Moor Lane, Birmingham, B6 7AA
Unfortunately my knee is still not better, so either way I will NOT be able to play on Sunday...

Dear Rev, just a quick reminder that practice is ON this weekend starting at 11am on the fields near the cricket fields by the sports club. Drinkies and pizza express afterwards.
I won't be able to make it Saturday morning - my girlfriend's parents are in town and we'll be taking them sightseeing...
