29.9.02: NICOLE BABY COULD HAVE BEEN MINE NOT ROBBIE'S

POP beauty Nicole Appleton became pregnant after bedding Robbie Williams AND a
young boyband star in quick succession, the News of the World can reveal today.
The All Saints star told Robbie the baby was his, but last night Worlds Apart
idol Cal Cooper insisted: "The child could well be mine. She cheated on Robbie
with me - and she was like an animal in bed." Nicole, who now has a baby with
her fiance Liam Gallagher, claims she terminated her pregnancy under pressure
from pop bosses - and it devastated Robbie. But Cal, 28, said: "She'd have been
worried that if she gave birth, Robbie would find out about me. We did
everything you can think of." The All Saints beauty had unprotected sex five
times in a single night, said Cal.

Only last weekend 28-year-old Nicole wrote in her new autobiography that drink
and drug-addicted Robbie put his hand proudly on her belly and said: "This baby
is saving my life." But Cal told the News of the World: "She can't have known
who the father was - because she can't possibly have forgotten what she was
doing with me before she tried playing happy families wih Rob. "We did it in
every position imaginable. It wasn't just on the bed either - we had sex
standing against the wall, on one of the tables in a hotel room, across a chair.
It was completely wild and uninhibited. I'd be having sex with her and carrying
her around the room at the same time so we could do it in different places.
"Neither of us even spoke about contraception-we just did it. It was very, very
spontaneous and went on all night, then carried on when we woke in the morning."
The pair met in Cannes and went clubbing together. "We got quite drunk on a
cocktail called Woo Woos - a mixture of vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry
juice with two wedges of lime," said Cal. "At around 3am, Nicole just said, 'Do
you want to come back to my hotel?' She was staying at the Noga Hilton on the
seafront. "I was bang up for it. As soon as we were inside the door we went at
each other like a couple of animals, we were ripping each other's clothes off.
Nicole has a body to die for. I always think of Natalie, her sister, as the
romantic one and Nicole the horny one. That turned out to be true. Nicole had
the most perfect pair of breasts I'd ever seen - not too big, not too small. And
she was in great shape, there wasn't an ounce of fat on her. "We did just about
everything you can possibly do with a member of the opposite sex that night.
"Nicole knew exactly what she wanted from a man - tons and tons of sex. There
were lots of mirrors in the room and we would watch ourselves as we did it.
"Nicole had quite long nails and she liked to dig them in me quite hard as we
were making love. I wasn't left with any scratches but it gives you an idea of
the intensity of it all. We'd have sex and then just carry on kissing and being
intimate until I was ready for action again. "We'd done it four times by about
6am and once more when we woke again at 8am. I didn't use any condoms and she
couldn't have been on the Pill because she got pregnant by somebody." The dates
when all this took place are vitally important. Cal says he and Nicole had their
one-night stand in the early hours of Sunday, January 18, 1998. In her
autobiography Together, written jointly with her sister Natalie, Nicole says she
discovered she was pregnant in March 1998. She thinks the baby was conceived
with Robbie on Valentine's Day, 1998-less than four weeks after her night with
Cal. But then she details a row with her All Saints manager John Benson who, she
says, told her that having a baby would wreck the future of All Saints. She
underwent a termination at a New York clinic. She does not give a date for this
in the book but says the doctor told her she was four-months pregnant. At the
time Nicole was at the peak of her pop career with All Saints. Birmingham-born
Cal was a huge star with Worlds Apart. While they only enjoyed modest chart
success in Britain-making No.15 in 1994 with their cover of the Seventies
classic Could It Be I'm Falling In Love - they were massive in Europe and South
America. In an interview this weekend Natalie claims that All Saints success was
marred by further problems, and that she and her sister felt like they were
treated as backing singers by the other two members, Shaznay Lewis and Mel
Blatt. She says during a row she and Shaznay even came close to blows. Cal,
still a millionaire from the success he once enjoyed, added yesterday: "The
child could well be mine. I'm not saying I'm definitely the dad but I bet Nicole
wasn't sure either. "I feel bad about telling Robbie about me and Nicole as well
but I'm sure he'd want the truth."
