Please come and support Ride to Work on Wed 18th July.
------------------------------------------------------------------

There is to be a one off 'special' which it is anticipated will
attract press and maybe TV coverage. We have been invited to attend
and to help raise the profile even further it will have Police
support and be given a Police escort.

Please meet at the Autostop Cafe on the A603 between 7.00am and
7.30am. The ride will depart en mass at 8.00am up the A603 towards
Cambridge. It is anticipated that this will provide the press the
opportunity they seek. The plan then is to disperse as the group
crosses the M11.

For those not familiar with the Autostop it is the cafe on the A603
about 400 metres the Cambridge side of the junction of the A603 with
the A1198.

It is not necessary to say now but an idea of numbers will be helpful
so if you could let me know if you are likely to attend I will pass
on the information. My address is: dgpoforwell@...

Hi guys,

I got this message from some people who are organising a series of
events, I have put the poster in the "files" section.

We wondering if the following would be of interest to you and your
members.

We have signed up for the Enduro India Motorcycle challenge and are
at present busy trying to raise funds.

We have organised a Charity Rideout for the 3rd June 2007.

Meeting at the Old Red Lion Inn, Horseheath, Cambridge at approx 8
a.m. for breakfast and finishing at The Lord Nelson, Burnham Thorpe,
Norfolk. The ride in total crosses 3 counties. Depending on how fast
or slow you take the route, it should take about 2 1/2 hours. Food
will be available to purchase on the day. We have merchandise to
buy and our special for day are the Enduro Babes, where you can have
your photo taken with the girls on your bike! The Ride will be
started by a local young lad Josh Tarrant who is bike mad, but sadly
is presently living with cancer himself.

We hope you will come along and support us, and would appreciate you
circulating this to your members.

On another note. We support annualy your event held at Meldreth and
we were wondering if iyou would consider us having a small stand
(or something of a similar nature) on the evening. The idea being our
Enduro girls being present for pictures to be taken. These can be
printed on the night. We would propose that monies we raise on the
evening be split for our challenege and your charities.

Thanking you in advance, we look forward to your reply,

Regards
Robert & Mathea Johnston

Dave Parnell has asked me to circulate details of the following event
this Sunday for those that might be interested

Free Assessments Rides
at British Telecom, Long Road,
Cambridge CB2 2HG
on Sunday 13th May

Cambridge Advanced Motorcyclists are giving free assessment rides on
Sunday 13th May. Experienced bikers will be available from 10am to 12
noon at the BT car park at Long Road Cambridge to take bikers out on
a free observed ride of around 30 minutes duration. At the end of the
ride, the Observer will offer feedback to the rider on his or her
skills.

If a biker then wants to take steps to improve their riding,
volunteer Observers from Cambridge Advanced Motorcyclists will help
the biker prepare for the Institute of Advanced Motorists' (IAM)
test. Observed rides can be organised at times to suit the biker.
Once the IAM test is passed, the biker should not only be a safer and
smoother rider, but may also find their insurance company will give a
discount.

If you are interested in a free assessment ride but can't get to this
event, please contact group secretary Ian Beeby on 01223 833860.

your riding.

The session is open from 10.00am to 12 noon.

Venue from which the sessions start - BT Long Road, Cambridge, car park.

Give it a go. It's free. Bring a friend but most importantly bring
