Jai Sai Ram

 

                  Wishing all the devotees “Happy New Year”. May Baba bless us all.  Happenings here at Sidhartha Extension can not be described in words. I try to write whatever I see, but can’t express the feelings. This is not only with me but perhaps with all the devotees. That may the reason that so many devotees were present here on this Thursday that they had to be squeezed-in even in the rooms and kitchen besides the main hall. Some late comer devotees removed the shoes/chappels into a heap to make space for themselves. Even after that some devotees could not enter in and had to be remained outside.

 

              Pooja and recitation was very soothing, mind freshing, peace giving in spite of so many devotee, old and new. There were many new devotees, who attended the recitation for the first time in person. Baba blessed all the devotee and some in particular. Many devotees had Udi on themselves in their hands and laps, heads. There were all the usual Leelas of Baba. In addition,  the occasional leela of Oozing honey from the Statue, was also there. For the last few years Baba is Blessing the devotees with the honey on the last and the first few Thursdays of the new year. Honey oozes from the Statue and sometimes from the photo. This time Honey was oozing from the Statue, which was collected in a katori. This honey was given the devotees and again honey stated oozing. Devotees saw the drops of honey falling in the katori.  There was another rare leela of Baba. There is a big photo of  Baba with face only. Three lines of Chandan appear on the forehead of Baba automatically during the pooja. This has also happened earlier, but quite some time back. Other leelas were as usual, which happened last Thursday also, so I am appending the photos again of the last Thursday, as some devotees had requested for the same. This week I have not take any new photo.  

 

                I have already circulated the letters of the devotees for the prayers on 1^st Jan 2009, Mrs. Gupta ( Sai Maa as the devotees call her) prayed for all of them during the Pooja and the recitation of Sri Sai Amrit Vani and when the feeling of presence of Baba was very strong.

                 

This Thursday the  1^st Jan 2009,  we enjoyed the following Leelas of Baba (of Shirdi).

 

1.          Udi started  oozing from Sunday this time from the  two photos on the wall  and Hindi words `RAM'  `SHAM'  `OM'  were formed with Udi on one photos. From Photo in the mandir also Udi started oozing from Monday and also forming the words  `RAM'  `SHAM' and  `OM' on it. There was no Udi oozing from the statue of Baba till Wednesday.

 

2.          Honey started oozing from the statue from Wednesday, which was collected in a Katori. This honey was distributed among all the devotees after the distribution of Bhog, Udi and Holy water. Devotees enjoyed the leela of Baba, Drops of honey  falling from the charan in the katori .

 

3.          This Thursday the Holy Water  also started oozing from the Charans from  Wednesday evening and so a thali was place below the charans immediately on Wednesday. Thali was also emptied several times and it was getting filled up again. The taste of water was similar to gulab jal and kewara mix. This water was also given to the devotees and again the Thali was filled with water. 

 

4.          Lap of Mrs. Gupta was filled with lots of Udi during the prayers. Udi was in the folds of the falls of the Sari.

 

5.          Many  devotees had Udi  in their hands, laps or clothes during the recitation of  Sri Sai Amrit Vani. 

 

6.          On Thursday as soon as Bhog was offered, it was duly accepted by Baba. We noticed that the Bhog , which was placed before HIM was partially eaten.  Part of Bhog was found in the ‘Bhiksha Patra’ in the photos. Parts of the remains in the box were given to the devotees who offered that item of bhog to Baba. Some figures were formed on the remains of Bhog. There were 27 items in all in the Bhog. One item “Mathi” , which was completely missing from the box of bhog. It was completely eaten by Baba and nothing was left of it.

 

7.          The feeling of Presence of Baba was very strong during the recitation of Sai Amrit Vani, Pooja and Prayer.

 

8.          All the  boxes of Bhog,   which were kept on the table were blessed with Udi.

 

9.          Many  photos, papers  and documents,  Sai Satcharitra etc which were placed before Baba and same were blessed.

                  Sri Sai Amrit Vani started at 11:05 AM.  Noon Aartee, the same Aartee which is being recited in Shirdi, started at 12:00 Hrs. followed by brief Meditation and the prayer,  Prayan of  last chapter  of Sai Satcharitra was done. Mrs. Gupta offered prayers and thanks to Baba. Finally distribution of Prasad and the water from the Charans.  Lastly the honey was distributed. As usual some devotees talked about their experiences.

 

                   Jal, Udi  and  Honey were  distributed after the distribution of the bhog.  

 

                    Next Sri Sai Amrit Vani and Prayan of Sri Sai Satcharitra on  8th Jan 2009 will again  be held at Sidhartha Extension, New Delhi. Devotees interested in attending it in person may contact on phone nos. 26346942, 9868966605 or 9312494767 only after 11 AM and before 8 PM (IST) on any  day except Thursdays and  no calls on Thursdays   P L E A S E . They should NOT bring any bhog with them and be in time. Kids are also not allowed in the hall. Mobiles have to be put on silent mode during the Pooja. Please also bring a small bottle with broad neck for the holy water. (If devotees who join us in absentia, find it difficult to recite from 11 AM, they can do it, at any time, as convenient to them.)
