As Promised here are the Race Rules (Not Club Rules)for the
Mardave Racing.

Mardave
V12 Construction Rules
1) Cars to be l/12th scale Mardave V12 series chassis with any
commercially available bodyshell.
2) Any make of servo saver may be used on the steering servo.
3) Any make of track rod or ends may be used.
4) The tyres may be changed from the original kit tyres.
5) ABS body shells are allowed, windows may be cut out, but if not they
must be clearly defined. Polycarbonate body shells are allowed, windows
must remain clear, not tinted or may be cut out.
6) Ball races allowed on rear axle only. Rear axle and spur gear must
remain as kit.
7) Chassis and front and rear wheel carriers and suspension springs to
be as kit.
8) Any commercially available speed controller (Speedo) may be used.

maximum retail price of £30-00, Electronic £60-00 (M'sonik E27
Recommended £19.95). Receiver battery packs are allowed.
9) Only nine extra holes (max. 3mm) may be drilled in the chassis, two
holes must be used for mounting the steering servo, two holes to be
used for mounting an on/off switch, and one hole to mount the aerial
tube, and a max of four holes for alternative battery mounting, if any
of these items are not used, then the holes must not be drilled. Any
holes drilled and not used must be filled. Chassis top mounting plate
may be changed, altered or removed.
10) The motor may be fitted to either side of the chassis, providing
that there is no modification or alteration to the chassis or mounting
blocks.
11) External front and rear bumpers are not allowed.
12) Min 20mm. Max 26mm width of tyres and min 48mm Max 60mm diameter of
tyres. Any foam tyre compound allowed.
13) Cars to use four or six cells only, cells to be sub-C sized cells
only, with a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts per cell, with a maximum of
3300ma. Cells must be readily identifiable. Battery mountings may be
changed from the original.
14) Motors may be Mabuchi RS540SH or the Standard kit V14 only and must
remain unopened. External motor bearings or fine pitch gears are not
allowed.
15) Steel whip aerials and rollover masts are not allowed, however
standard "straw" type aerial is permitted.
16) The drivers roof grade colour must be on the roof of the car either
painted or using tape to cover a minimum area 50 sq.mm. ( This rule is
currently not in force, you may use any colour roof )
17) No wings or aerofoils unless supplied by manufacturer with the
bodyshell. No underbody aids are allowed.
18) Alternative motor pinions may be used, providing no alteration is
made to the motor mounting blocks. No tyre additives of any type
allowed.
19) If you intend to alter your car in any way that is not covered by
the above, you must check with the V12 Scrutineer, for approval. We
expect all drivers to use common sense when modifying cars and to enter
into the spirit of the sport. Remember, it is intended to be "Pocket
Money Racing".
20) There should be a minimum ground clearance of 3mm; this is to
include any protruding screws, 1mm clearance for spur gear.
