Re: [science-education] Responsible science teachers

Alan
I'm very pleased to note that there is some interest.
I plucked bits from various websites.
www.tns.org.nz says the exact
<<everything spreads>
Does only energy spread? Doesn't matter spread?
Oh I see matter is spread by energy.

May I ask you one thing-I don't mean to be rude .
Is this the first time you've heard about TNS?
I'm a bit ashamed to say that I came to know about TNS only 2 years ago. I've
been regularly browsing some science education journals(including SSR) over the
last 15 years and I haven't come across a single mention of TNS in any of those.
(I have read your articles in various science education journals - not an
accusation but let you know that I 'recognise' you)

www.naturalstep.org
www.naturalstep.org.uk
www.naturalstep.ca ..................

I'm sure you'll want to spread the message of TNS soon.
Best wishes

Hi

This seems very interesting

Is there a web-sit where the information is available in this form? Just
one point: I note that in the basic science section (Section reproduced
below) that the second Law of Thermodynamics is 'condensed' to the
statement that 'Everything spreads'. Would it not be more meaningful and
perhaps a better place to start exploring the idea to change this to
'Energy tends to spread' (Or even 'Energy Spreads') rather than
EVERYTHING.
