Subject: LSC: Lab layout and learning science
Hi,Science folks, Happy Science Year. I'm just back in London after a
2-month world trip. I did make use of the time in the direction of
Science Education!!
I went to see a Science Dept in a secondary school in Aucklanf(NZ)
and another in Perth(Australia). Teachers who have been complaining
about lab layout in London schools in this website and that of ASE
secondary science forum aren't bad workmen quarrelling with their
tools at all!! Science teachers I met in NZ and Australia have the
same complaints!!
I think we have been giving short change to many pupils.
So, are we science teachers scientific in having a critical look at
our pactice or just carry on blindly what others have been blindly
doing?
Please, please, please, let's do something about this.
Best wishes,
Puni
