Description

This group has been set up to facilitate communication between bryologists who live in, or visit, Scotland.

The group is open to all levels of experience and interest.

We hope it will:

-Promote an understanding of bryology

-Enable like minded individuals to self-organise field excursions(at short notice)

-Encourage more people to build the skills required to record bryophytes

-Stimulate discussion about bryophytes(e.g. conservation, ecology, sustainablility, value...)

Photo - Buxbaumia viridis, a rare moss that grows on well decayed dead wood. Protected by Schedule 8 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act-->
