LAMPS, the Late Antique and Medieval Postgraduate
Study-group at Edinburgh University, is hosting a
postgraduate day conference on 23 June 2001.** Scholars from
all disciplines are invited to submit papers, not
exceeding twenty minutes in length, exploring the general
theme of 'Belief? Christianity in Europe from
Conversion to Reformation'.<br><br>The organising committee
encourages submissions from postgraduate scholars and is
committed to integrating these into the conference
programme.<br><br>LAMPS aims to provide postgraduates from among the
multiple disciplines of medieval studies at Edinburgh with
a postgraduate-driven forum for interdisciplinary
discussion of all aspects of the European Middle Ages from
Late Antiquity to the Renaissance. Its intent is to
explore matters of scholarly interest, while fostering a
sense of fellowship and community and cultivating
contacts with the greater community of professional and
independent scholars.<br><br>The deadline for submission of
abstracts (100-200 words) is 14 May 2001. Submissions
