Hello Ron, I’d love to however I’m overcommitted as it is; pulled in several directions at once.

I do, however, intend to get down there sometime over the next couple of weekends to take a floor for the urinal project, and if the weather permits, putting some of the cladding on.

I think Yule (apart from the CDP Yule Feast) will be held at my own hearth, before I head off to Northampton and Scotland respectively!

Blessings,

Jeff

Have I actually sent a message? I don't know!! Tried to send via the group site (I don't usually do it that way, I just type in the address!) but got all sorts of stuff asking me about going via 'updates' whatever that is, then I think I pressed the wrong thing and lost the message altogether.
So forgive if this ends up being a repeat:

I've loads of photos attached to emails from Tribal & Marcus from various exotic locations & I want to put them in the Group file so we can all see them, but I'm rubbish at this (obviously LOL)got hopelessly lost, and need to be told gently how to do it.

Yours, tearing her hair out in a particularly technophobic moment,

I don't post on here much as I don't often have the chance of getting to Sentry, however I wrote the following in response to the same thread on another yahoo group and thought I would share it here:

In response to the first video:

From a reputable source, The Guardian:

"The Met Office, which jointly produces global temperature data with the climate research unit, said there was no need for an inquiry. "If you look at the emails, there isn't any evidence that the data was falsified and there's no evidence that climate change is a hoax," a spokesman said.

"It's a shame that some of the sceptics have had to take this rather shallow attempt to discredit robust science undertaken by some of the world's most respected scientists. It's no surprise, with the Copenhagen talks just days away, that this has happened now.""

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/nov/23/climate-change-emails-uea

In response to the second video:

"Dr. Timothy Ball is Chairman and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee ofvthe Natural Resources Stewardship Project (NRSP).[1] Two of the three directors of the NRSP - Timothy Egan and Julio Lagos - are executives with the PR and lobbying company, the High Park Group (HPG).[1] Both HPG and Egan and Lagos work for energy industry clients and companies on energy policy.

Ball has has even argued that climate change and global warming would be good for us. "A warmer Canada would improve our lives in these and other ways too numerous to list. Global warming? Let's hope so," he wrote in June 2006.

In September 2006, Ball filed a lawsuit against The Calgary Herald, a division of CanWest MediaWorks, specifically naming four of its staff, as well as Dr. Dan Johnson, a professor of environmental science at the Department of Geography at the University of Lethbridge and the Board of Governors of the University of Lethbridge. Ball's suit is over the publication of a letter to the editor published in April 2006 by Johnson responding to an opinion column by Ball. In his statement of claim, Ball objects to Johnson's letter in which statements about his academic record were disputed. Ball's claim seeks $250,000 in damages, special damages for loss of future income and punitive damages of $75,000.

Johnson has filed an 18-page statement of defence denying "each and every allegation of fact and law" made by Ball.

In the face of this and an even-more strident Statement of Defence by the Calgary Herald ("The Plantiff (Dr. Ball) is viewed as a paid promoter of the agenda of the oil and gas industry rather than as a practicing scientist."), Ball withdrew the suit in June 2007."

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Tim_Ball

Chris, when weighing up evidence and opinions I tend to take into account what people have to gain by giving those opinions. So far all I'm seeing is people with a vested interest in keeping the denial of human impact on climate change going. I'm not going to be convinced by that.

This week we have all been at the mercy of climate change. Here in Cumbria this week the power of the elements has reeked havoc. Today there are fears another bridge which carries utilities will be lost, like the other six bridges reduced to rubble at the bottom of the river bed.A policeman has lost his life, we honour his bravery, and give thanks to all who worked relentlessly in all weather and conditions to rescue folk. Sorry folks, I deleted the file as we had had a communication breakdown
among the Elders.

Due to Fee's delayed recovery following surgery Jay hadn't confirmed
the dates etc with Derek, as I thought he had. Derek missed the
meeting when we went through all the details, as he was working and
obviously he needs to approve future plans before we publish them as
definite.

As soon as I get the OK from him I'll put the info. back up and let you
all know.

For all who aren't in touch with her on Facebook, Fee overdid it after
surgery (surprise, surprise) and gave us all a fright. She is now well
on the way to recovery!

My apologies again for not posting to let you know what I'd done (I
meant to but life got in the way :( )
