There is less than one week till the important Public Meeting in Parliament
It is really important that we get as many people as possible to attend the meeting so that we can demonstrate the level of support for the government to change the licensing laws of lap dancing clubs
Lap dancing clubs are currently licensed as cafes, leading to the number of these clubs doubling since 2004.
However, lap dancing clubs are part of the sex industry and promote the sexist view that women are sex objects.
Help give local councils the power to stop the spread of lap dancing clubs
Make your voice heard!!
The Meeting will be chaired by Polly Toynbee from The Guardian, and speakers include - Dr Sasha Rakoff, Director of Object; Dr Katherine Rake, Director of the Fawcett Society; Beatrix Campbell, award-winning Journalist, Author, Broadcaster, Campaigner & Playwright; Cross Party MPs, and the Local Government Association.
