Topic: What (if any) changes would you like to see in policies and
attitudes towards prostitution?

I'll get the ball rolling with a couple of articles that very much
summarize my point of view and include some important statistics on
things we need to bear in mind when dealing with this subject.

I will return later to give a more detailed personal view, but I
need to get some work done now, so I will just say that I strongly
believe that we can never have equality as long as women can be
bought and sold and that I advocate nothing less than an end to
prostitution.

This means ensuring that the idea of buying and selling a woman
within the sex trade is just as universally abhorent as the idea of
whites enslaving blacks to put them to work in the cane fields.
Abolitionists didn't campaign for an improvement in slaves' working
conditions; they campaigned for the abolition of an institution
which was founded on a negation of human rights, on the abuse and
exploitation of countless individuals, and I believe our approach to
prostitution should likewise be founded on a determination to put a
stop to it. Women are being abused, raped and exploited all over
the world because men think they are entitled to buy pussy (sorry) -
how can we aim for anything less than abolition?
