It's that time of year again...the time when we all head south to celebrate
our successes and demand an end to vivisection: The World Day Demo .
Last years demo, in Cambridge, was loud but very positive affair with
fantastic speakers, loads of stalls, great vegan food and a powerful march
that made Cambridge stop and consider the murder in their midst. The only
thing that let it down was the turnout. The impressive hundreds who filled
the streets made the message heard, but were nothing compared to the
thousands who have filled previous demos.
Some have said that many people don't come because they worry that demos
will only contain the extremist element....whatever that is. Well, if all
the moderates stay away, then that will be what happens....so we need
everyone there. World Day contains a real mix of people....from people who
are hardcore animal rights to people who eat meat, wear leather but just
don't like the fraud of animal experimentation. There is a feeling of
peace, coupled with a strong determination to end animal experiments for
good.
Steve/SAP are putting on transport from Shrewsbury & Telford again this
year....so please take advantage of it and get on board.
For details, see below. Feel free to forward this to anyone sympathetic,
but for the safety of campaigners please don't publish any names or numbers
on any websites. Thanks.
